Verovian Nursing Agency is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for the night shift in Belen, New Mexico.

As an RN in the PCU, you will provide intermediate-level care for patients who require close monitoring and nursing care that is less intensive than that provided in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) but more than a general medical-surgical unit.

Candidate requirements

Job specification

Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and other health indicators, providing timely interventions when necessary.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physicians' orders.
Provide patient and family education regarding treatments, recovery processes, and post-discharge care.
Respond quickly to changes in patient's conditions and escalate care when necessary to ensure patient safety and well-being.
Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and best practices for quality patient care.

Candidate requirements

1-2 years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), ICU, or Telemetry unit

BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required

Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Previous experience in night shifts preferred but not required
