This position is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery and pickup of goods to and from customer locations, vendors, and other facilities. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, excellent time management skills, and a strong customer service mindset.Essential Functions:Safely operate vehicle, making routine deliveries to location on-time, efficiently and in a friendly mannerChecking product when loading and unloadingPrepare, inspect and operate delivery vehiclePrimary interface with the customer at point of delivery.Complete logs and reportsFollow DOT regulations and safety standardsReport vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after route.Must have valid driver's licensePrepare Shipments, band/wrap pallets for deliveryAssist in Shipping functions as neededOther duties.Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.Requirements:Motivated, possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent internal and external customer service.Proven working experience as a delivery driverAbility to operate forkliftsExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently with a high degree of initiative and drive.Able to multi-task and handle multiple priorities in a challenging, fast-paced environmentAbility to work flexible hours at timesValid professional driver's licenseClean driving record, background check - no accidents or serious traffic violationsMust be able to pass a 5-panel pre-employment drug screening.Minimum experience Required:High School Diploma or GED1 year delivery experience preferredAdditional Details:Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
