Surgical Technician - Dickens

Job Description SHIFT & SCHEDULE Full Time, Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS Participate in patient positioning and surgical site verification Assist with prepping and draping the surgical field Ensure all instruments, implants, and equipment are available and functioning Assist with controlling bleeding using cautery, clamps, or ties Assist with deep and superficial wound closure Perform knot tying, running sutures, or staple application as appropriate Pass instruments efficiently and accurately Assist with drilling, reaming, suctioning, irrigation, and cutting sutures Assist with reduction, positioning, and implant support in orthopedic cases Communicate effectively with surgical team Participate in on‑call rotation for trauma and after‑hours cases EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) Orthopedic surgical experience strongly preferred PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily.
