Accounting Clerk II (NCL04) - Oahu

Job Title Accounting Clerk II (NCL04) – Oahu Job Summary Responsible for handling and maintaining documents within the Accounts Payable area. Duties include proper routing, invoice processing, scanning, data verification, and general clerical support for the Cost Accounting division. Essential Functions Receives, sorts, and distributes invoices for processing; checks completeness of information and follows up on missing data. Verifies accuracy of scanned invoice data. Routes invoices and manages follow‑up for approval authorization where necessary. Operates document scanning equipment to scan invoice documents. Mail checks and remittances. Maintains accounting files such as the Purchasing Card Log and Missing Log Aging List. Uses computer terminal for invoice validation and to retrieve information from source documents. Assists in researching, photocopying, and other clerical work. Responds to vendor and department inquiries about invoice status and discrepancies. Maintains office supplies stock for the Cost Accounting Division. Prepares purchase requisitions for the Cost Accounting Division. Sends records to the Records Center for retention and prepares inputs for the computer listing of retained records. Substitutes for or assists other clerical personnel as required. Assumes an emergency management role when assigned and performs specific assignments or functions within an event of an emergency (excluding routine trouble calls/callouts). Other Responsibilities Performs similar and incidental duties as required. Provides administrative and clerical support for the division. Basic Qualifications Must pass the Edison Electric Institute Support & Administrative Selection System (SASS). (Employees who have passed the General Clerical Test are exempt.) Must pass the SRA Oral & Written Directions Test. Ability to type a minimum of 45 words per minute. Must pass a 10‑key adding machine/calculator test. Minimum 1 year of general office and clerical experience.
