At BRINC, we are committed to recruiting the world's best talent to join us in our mission to support first responders in saving lives.Key Responsibilities:Own end-to-end software development - from specification to design, implementation, testing, and product support. Write high-quality flight ready code (primarily in C/C++).Establish top-level design architectures and implementation methodologies for the team. Clearly communicate decisions with internal stakeholders. Document contributions in a revision-controlled environment.Work collaboratively with electrical, mechanical, perception, controls, test and manufacturing engineers.Work closely with customers by debugging issues in the field, incorporating end user feedback, and supporting new product deployments.Qualifications:5+ years of industry experience developing software for devicesExperience with C, C++, Python and related programming and scripting languagesExperience working in a fast-paced technical environmentExperience developing and optimizing for embedded systems, in linux environmentExperience working with standard embedded interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, etc.)Experience developing software for a range of compute hardware (SoC, MCU, etc.)Experience bringing up and testing new hardware in collaboration with other engineersExperience working with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)Bachelors or Masters of Science in Computer Science or related degreePreferred Skills:7+ years of experience developing software for Aerospace, Robotics, Automotive, Consumer Electronics, or related industriesExperience interfacing to displays, cameras, and other perception sensors (MIPI, etc.)Experience working with YoctoExperience developing HDL (Verilog, VHDL) for FPGAs with specific experience on video processing pipelinesExperience developing software for flight control, navigation, and autonomy applicationsExperience developing software for embedded radio systemsExperience developing software for localization systems (GNSS, etc.)Strong skills in debugging, performance optimization and unit testingAbility to work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing needs and requirementsAbility to work independently and in teams, take initiative, and communicate effectivelyExperience developing software solutions for UAV/UAS used in commercial, industrial, or defense applicationsBRINC Culture Values:Try the hard stuffBe innovative - Invent the futureMove fastListen to end-usersStrive for excellenceDon't build a dystopiaBe frugalSave lives through technologyIf you're interested in this role and in joining BRINC, we hope you'll apply.
