Speech Language Pathologist

Job Description A School Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) in Texas is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and providing therapy to students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders that impact educational performance. The role includes conducting evaluations, developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), delivering direct and indirect therapy services, and collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals. SLPs also maintain compliance with federal and Texas state regulations (such as IDEA and TEA guidelines), document progress, participate in ARD meetings, and help support students’ academic and social success through effective communication skills.
