Responsibilities Perform chemical, microscopic, and microbiological test assays to obtain results for use in diagnosis and treatment. Prepare specimens and manage storing and labeling; operate manual and automatic equipment to prepare specimens and perform analytical tests. Conduct procedures within the scope defined by state licensure regulations, avoiding tasks that are restricted to licensed clinical laboratory scientists. Supervise phlebotomists, offering suggestions and guidance as needed. Document results, maintain quality control, and communicate findings clearly for clinical interpretation. Adhere to safety, infection control, and SOPs to ensure accurate, reliable laboratory operations. Requirements Experience performing chemical, microscopic, and microbiological assays in a clinical laboratory setting. Proficiency with manual and automatic equipment used to prepare specimens and conduct analytical tests. Ability to supervise phlebotomists and provide guidance to staff as needed. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to safety and quality control standards. Ability to work in a hospital laboratory environment during daytime hours.
