Senior Analyst, US Public Finance - Housing

Responsibilities Provide day-to-day guidance/coaching to Research Assistants and Rating Analysts, building capability in credit, data discipline, and tooling and reinforcing values-led behaviors. Drive consistency/scalability by codifying standard work and promoting disciplined adoption to strengthen trusted, repeatable insights. Strengthen AI-enabled productivity by creating reusable assets and proposing lightweight automations that free capacity for human analysis and relationship work. Foster continuous improvement by proposing enhancements that remove manual steps without compromising governance or judgement. Partner with senior team members and Data/Engineering to identify and scale AI/automation use cases with governance-by-design, controls, and adoption support. Lead end-to-end execution for assigned credits, ensuring high-quality analysis and timely delivery across priorities with clear accountability. Own surveillance/updates for assigned portfolio, synthesizing performance, market signals, and peer context into decision-useful insights and clear implications for risk. Prepare/review inputs, reconcile metrics, document assumptions/changes to ensure adherence to methodologies/standard operating procedures. Prepare/review key outputs ensuring clarity and alignment to methodology/sector frameworks and evidentiary standards. Requirements Experience in affordable housing finance, either in loan underwriting, portfolio management, real estate development, or capital raising. Familiarity with affordable housing policies, financing structures, and funding programs, including low-income housing tax credits, housing choice vouchers (Section 8), and mortgage revenue bond programs. Solid foundation in financial statement analysis. Ownership/execution maturity across multiple credits; delivers high quality with limited oversight and models values-led behavior. Strong collaboration/relationship management; influences through credibility and constructive challenge. Coaching capability that improves team consistency through shared standards and tools. Continuous improvement mindset. AI fluency with judgement. Strong credit/financial/risk analysis linking drivers to forward-looking views and risk appetite. Practical experience embedding AI/LLMs/agents into workflows to improve productivity and insight. Strong analytical tool capability; willingness to learn data/automation tools to facilitate AI-enabled workflows. Strong synthesis into concise narratives for senior stakeholders/committees with transparent evidence. Effective written and verbal communicator, able to present research and analysis in a clear, structured way that supports informed decision making. High standards for quality, traceability, and governance; operates effectively in controlled environments. Sound judgement on responsible AI use. Ability to contribute to scalable automation/agent workflows.
