Job Summary This position supports the mission of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to address the needs of the whole person. Under the supervision of the Radiologist and lead technologist, the Sonographer performs ultrasound procedures in accordance with established protocols for patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric. Responsibilities include maintaining expert technical and patient‑care skills, providing quality diagnostic results, cleaning and high‑level disinfecting ultrasound probes and other equipment, and performing additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications Completion of an AMA‑approved Ultrasound School training program or an armed services program that qualifies for approval. Current certification by ARDMS or RVT (vascular) certification and maintenance of current registry. Annual competency for cleaning and high‑level disinfection of ultrasound probes. Attendance of continuing education activities to maintain knowledge and skill level. Basic Life Support certification, to be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. © Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification. BLS certification.
