Location: Naperville, Illinois (Onsite)

Role Overview

This role focuses primarily on sample login and management within a laboratory setting. The position's main function will involve sample login (approximately 70% of duties), with secondary responsibilities including performing lab analyses such as colorimetric tests or conductivity measurements based on operational needs (approximately 30% of duties).

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and log samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to ensure proper tracking and documentation.
• Prepare samples for analysis by labeling, batching, measuring, filtering, or diluting according to approved laboratory methods.
• Perform routine analytical tests, which may include colorimetric tests or measurements related to conductivity.
• Verify sample integrity, volumes, and test requests prior to analysis.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all preparation steps are documented in LIMS.
• Operate laboratory instrumentation under established quality and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace.

Required Qualifications

Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks such as typing, pipetting, filtering, and handling samples. Must be able to perform repetitive hand and arm motions and handle multiple samples simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Education: A degree in biology, chemistry, or a relevant field is required.
