Millwork DriverThe Millwork Building Materials Driver is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of building materials and products as specified by customer orders and Company standards.Location: Salt Lake City, UTKey Activities:Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company vision and core values.Safely drive and operate lumber delivery truck.Assume responsibility for the proper operation and maintenance of company vehicle.Perform daily pre and post safety checklists.Observe and obey all traffic laws in the operation of assigned company vehicle.Record all information on each delivery ticket and turn in a signed delivery ticket.Deliver orders/building materials to each customer according to the specifications on the delivery ticket.Provide exceptional customer service and team support.Advise management of any customer situations beyond scope of authority.Maintain a department of transportation (DOT) medical card.Maintain insurable driving record.Maintain a clean and safe working environment, identifying and addressing potential safety concerns.Operate equipment according to specification and in alignment with designated safety standards.Adhere to company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook, etc.Perform other duties as required.Knowledge and Skills:Strong process/procedure orientation.Effective written and verbal communication/comprehension skills.Strong team and customer service skills.Ability to achieve performance objectives in a time-sensitive and quality-centered environment.Demonstrates initiative and reliability with minimal supervision.Safety conscious.Knowledge of DOT compliance regulations.Forklift experience preferred.Education/Experience:High school diploma or general education degree (GED).Clean driving record.Track record of safety-conscious performance.Physical Requirements:Physical Work Requirements - Heavy: exerting up to 50 -70 lbs. of force regularly.Repetitive motion associated with operating a forklift and other equipment.Frequent bending, standing, lifting, and ongoing physical activity.Outdoor working conditions, sometimes in extreme climates.This description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, efforts, or work conditions associated with this job.
