MOHS Histologist (part-time) - Clinical

Summary The Histology Technician will perform the various tasks required for receiving, processing, and preparing patient tissue specimens for microscopic examination and analysis by the Pathologist. This may include logging, batching, and cutting, mounting, and staining procedures. Responsibilities Perform Histological technical procedures using manual and automated techniques to achieve quality pathology slides for review by pathologist Providing skilled surgical and medical support to MOHS surgeon with patients’ care and safety. Prepare patients’ charts, forms and instruments and equipment needed for surgery Prepare histological samples, map, and flatten, frozen section samples, staining Comply with OSHA, CLIA and HIPPA regulations Perform routine housekeeping duties, keep room and lab stocked with supplies Organize, file and dispose of all specimens within regulation.
