Avionics & Instrumentation Technician

Basic Qualifications Minimum 5 years of broad hands‑on working experience in a 5 or 7 skill level USAF AFSC, Navy NEC, or Marine MOS avionics discipline or equivalent commercial experience, such as an FAA instrumentation license or 3 years F‑35 specific avionics experience. Experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and maintenance instructions. Experience with Tool Control, FOD, Supply, HAZMAT, Training, Quality, and Security programs. Experience with Maintenance Information Systems such as Electronic Maintenance Instructions, Aircraft Forms Documentation, and Supply Chain Management. Job Description An Interim Secret Clearance is required. This position will be part of the aircraft maintenance team supporting the F‑35 at Edwards Air Force Base, CA flight test site. As a team member you will be involved in maintaining all aspects of the aircraft, including F‑35 scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, aircraft modification, inspection, wire repair, and troubleshooting. Desired Skills Previous flight test or military fighter F‑35 aircraft maintenance experience in instrumentation and/or avionics. Proficient in wafer and hot air soldering. Ability to work in a diverse work culture environment. Ability to develop work schedules and assign tasks.
