What You'll Do as a Banquet Cook:
- Prepare Exceptional Cuisine: Skillfully prepare and cook menu items to exact standards, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
- Maintain a Top-Notch Kitchen: Keep your station clean, organized, and efficient, upholding the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
- Be a Team Player: Assist fellow cooks and kitchen staff in achieving seamless service during events, fostering a positive and high-energy work environment.
- Learn and Grow: Stay on top of food trends and bring creative ideas to enhance our culinary offerings.
- Support Training Efforts: Help train new and existing kitchen staff in techniques and kitchen best practices.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience Matters: At least 2 years of experience in a professional culinary setting.
- Certifications: Must be ready to obtain an Idaho Food Handlers Permit (available online for free) or already hold a ServSafe certification.
- Culinary Skills: Strong knife skills, familiarity with kitchen equipment, and a deep understanding of food safety in high-volume environments.
- Team-Oriented: Excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering excellent service in a collaborative setting.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, handle kitchen equipment safely, and withstand hot and busy kitchen conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
