Job Title: Counter Sales Associate
Job Description

The Counter Sales Associate plays a vital role in delivering front-facing customer service to walk-in customers, phone inquiries, and email requests. This position is responsible for supporting parts sales, quoting, order entry, and inventory verification using Salesforce and Prophet 21 (P21). The role also involves collaboration with the warehouse team to pull parts, stage orders, and assist with light material handling. This fast-paced, customer-centric environment demands professionalism, accuracy, and a strong service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist walk-in customers at the counter; handle phone and email inquiries.
• Search for AC parts, check availability, generate quotes, and process orders using Salesforce.
• Enter sales orders, update customer information, and manage transactions using Prophet 21 (training provided).
• Confirm stock levels, check warehouse availability, and coordinate with inventory control.
• Pull parts, assist with pallet racking, and use a dolly for light material handling.
• Respond to customer inquiries, follow up on open quotes, and ensure timely communication.
• Maintain a polished, service-oriented presence with all in-person customers.

• Customer-facing service experience in retail, counter sales, or service desk.
• Parts or product lookup experience in HVAC, auto parts, industrial supply, hardware, etc.
• Comfort entering orders, quotes, or tickets.
• Understanding of stock checks and basic warehouse flow.
• Comfort in a warehouse environment, performing light physical tasks, pulling parts, and moving items with a dolly.
• Strong in-person presence and service orientation.
• Ability to learn Prophet 21 quickly (training provided).
• Experience with Salesforce preferred but not required.

• HVAC or AC parts knowledge.
• Experience in counter sales at establishments such as Ferguson, Johnstone Supply, AutoZone, O’Reilly, Napa, or industrial supply houses.
• Prior roles combining warehouse and customer service duties.

Work Environment

The work environment is a fast-paced counter service area with frequent interaction with walk-in customers. Light warehouse activity is involved, including tasks such as pallet racking and pulling parts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Tolleson, AZ.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Tolleson,AZ.
