Description: 

ENG- Lead systems engineering activities spanning requirements development and management, system architecture and design, integration, verification, validation, and test for ground and space-based systems. Develop and execute test plans, resolve cross-functional technical issues, support operational products and mission-level activities, and apply modern engineering tools and processes.

#Education & Job Requirements

*Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of related work experience, Master's degree with 7+ years of related work experience, or PhD with 4+ years of related work experience
*Systems Engineering
*9+ years of related work experience
*Ground and system-level verification, validation, integration, and test
*Requirements development, management, and verification
*System and subsystem requirements and interface control document development
*ConOps development and product design, development, and test
*Requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes
*Test plan, procedure, and verification report development and execution
*Cross-functional technical issue resolution
*System performance requirements, technical parameters, and physical, functional, and program interface compatibility analysis
*Systems analysis involving affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, and related quality factors
*Ground Segment Operational Product development supporting space-based systems
*Complex system-level threads required to run missions in space
*Scaled Agile development processes
*Model-based systems engineering
*Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
*Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

#Job Duties & Functions

*Lead ground and system-level verification, validation, integration, and test
*Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, and develop requirements
*Write requirements and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for ground systems
*Support ConOps development and product design, development, and test
*Lead the planning, organization, and implementation of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness activities
*Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and verification reports
*Resolve cross-functional technical issues
*Evaluate customer and operational needs to test system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of physical, functional, and program interfaces
*Conduct analyses covering affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, and other specialty quality factors
*Develop Ground Segment Operational Products supporting space-based systems
*Support complex system-level threads required to run missions in space
*Collaborate with engineering teams using a scaled Agile development process
*Engage in model-based systems engineering
*Monitor requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes
*Maintain regular and predictable attendance
