We are thrilled to announce an opportunity for a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at our Behavioral Health Hospital located in Northeast Pennsylvania. This pivotal leadership position will have a profound influence across Luzerne and Lackawanna/Wyoming Counties.

Position Overview

The Chief Medical Officer will be responsible for providing both clinical and strategic direction for the psychiatric service line. This role involves leading a diverse team of physician providers and advanced practice clinicians. The CMO will play a crucial role in supporting the psychiatry team, enhancing care models, and ensuring service excellence throughout the region.

Facility & Program Highlights

• 92-bed behavioral health facility
• Average Daily Census: 80-84 patients
• Comprehensive range of services, including intensive outpatient programs
• Oversight of medical staff: 7 physician providers along with a team of advanced practice professionals (APPs)
• Psychiatry residency program:
  • 3 residents annually, with plans to expand to 5 residents per year

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO with a completed residency in Psychiatry
• Active Board Certification
• Eligibility for or ability to secure a Pennsylvania medical license and DEA registration
• A minimum of 7 years of clinical experience post- residency/fellowship
• Previous leadership experience in an outpatient or health system environment
• Willingness to engage in clinical practice as part of the role
