Requirements

• Active New York RN License
• Master's Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 5 years of RN experience
• Minimum 5 years of psychiatric nursing experience
• Minimum 2 years of leadership or management experience
• Current BLS (AHA)
• Current ACLS (AHA)
• Crisis Management certification (PMCS, TRUST, or equivalent)

Preferred Experience

• Experience managing an inpatient psychiatric unit
• Adult and/or Child CPEP leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality improvement
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives

Schedule

• Monday–Friday 5x8 requirement
• 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Day Shift
• Not eligible for overtime
• 24-hour operational leadership responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the inpatient psychiatric unit
• Supervise and support nursing and interdisciplinary staff
• Ensure compliance with NYSDOH, Joint Commission, and other regulatory standards
• Oversee admissions, discharges, and care coordination
• Manage performance improvement and quality initiatives
• Assist with budgeting, staffing, and inventory management
• Monitor patient care outcomes and departmental performance metrics
• Support survey readiness and regulatory inspections
• Promote best practices in behavioral health nursing
• Provide administrative nursing coverage as needed
