Location: Eaton Rapids , MI
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday
Pay: $20.51 + .50 Premium. 

Job Summary

Are you a reliable, mechanically inclined individual looking to grow in a fastpaced manufacturing environment? We’re seeking a Die Cast Operator to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI. In this role, you’ll operate and support die cast equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and highquality production of magnesium and aluminum castings. You’ll play a key part in meeting customer expectations, maintaining uptime, and supporting continuous improvement within the die cast department.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Die Cast Operator, your core responsibilities will include:

Setting up and operating die cast machines within an assigned cell to produce quality parts.
Troubleshooting equipment or quality issues independently and escalating concerns to leadership when needed.
Monitoring part quality, machine performance, and process conditions throughout production.
Assisting maintenance, tool room, and engineering teams with repairs and improvement activities.
Meeting customer production schedules and maintaining uptime and scrap targets.
Guiding and supporting general labor working within your assigned machine/cell.
Maintaining accurate communication with peers, team leaders, and supervisors.
Following all MIOSHA rules, company safety procedures, and quality standards (EMS/ISO 14001, IATF).
Performing additional duties as assigned to support production goals.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of Die Cast 101 and all OJT requirements (or willingness to complete).
Mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand tools.
Ability to follow supervisor direction and work cooperatively with others.
Strong attention to quality and adherence to work instructions.
Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, or PLCs — or willingness to learn.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.

Skills:

Attention to Safety: Essential for working around machinery, molten materials, and PPE requirements.
Mechanical Aptitude: Useful for troubleshooting, machine operation, and supporting process improvements.
Teamwork & Communication: Helps coordinate with operators, leads, and other departments to maintain production flow.
ProblemSolving: Ability to identify issues and take appropriate action to maintain quality and safety.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, climb, twist, bend, grasp, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to visually inspect parts and hear instructions in a loud manufacturing environment.
Ability to tolerate physical demands for a minimum of 8 hours per day.

Work Environment:

Automotive manufacturing environment with exposure to industrial hazards, loud noises, and hot/humid conditions.
Standard schedule of five 8hour shifts per week, with overtime as required.
Exposure to extreme temperatures during summer and winter months.
