Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, Psychology or a related field, active Educational Diagnostician license, and 1+ years Educational Diagnostician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact working with PreK-8 students as a contract Educational Diagnostician in a supportive environment. This assignment is ideal for someone passionate about student assessment and educational success. The position consists of part-time hours, Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon, beginning June 1 and concluding July 16. You’ll serve one school, ensuring focused engagement and continuity with your caseload while collaborating with dedicated educators and administrators.

Key Qualifications:

• Possess an active Louisiana Department of Education certification as an Educational Diagnostician.
• Experience working with PreK through 8th-grade students, preferably in a school setting.
• Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive educational assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Strong understanding of Louisiana state and federal guidelines for special education.
• Must be able to complete district-required background check and fingerprinting processes promptly.
• Adaptable to both in-person and virtual (VOCO) service delivery as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Administer, score, and interpret a variety of diagnostic evaluations for students referred for testing.
• Collaborate closely with educators, families, and related service providers to support student learning and development.
• Participate in eligibility determination meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions.
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation in compliance with district and state policies.
• Assist with development and revision of IEP goals and monitoring of student progress.
