Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a registered nurse (RN) specialized in operating room open heart procedures at a medical facility in Greenville, North Carolina. This role involves circulating and scrub nursing duties in a cardiac surgery environment, supporting a team performing complex vascular, thoracic, and cardiac surgeries. The position is suitable for candidates with experience in the operating room, particularly in cardiac or open heart cases.

Job Details:

• Shift: 10-hour days (0700 - 1700 or 0900 - 1900), with call and weekend call requirements
• Schedule: 40 hours per week, 13-week assignment
• Required Qualifications: Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; NC or Compact nursing license; 3 years of experience in operating room or cardiac surgery; ability to work in North Carolina
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac, vascular, or thoracic surgery preferred
• Patient Population: Cardiac, vascular, thoracic surgical patients, including procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repair and replacement, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), vascular repairs, thoracotomies, and robotic surgeries
• Roles in the Operating Room: Circulating Nurse managing overall patient care; Scrub Nurse preparing sterile fields and surgical instruments; collaboration to ensure safety and efficiency during procedures
• Additional Information: The role involves circulating and scrub duties in a facility equipped with 7 operating rooms dedicated to cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeries; no float rotation is required.
