Qualifications & Experience:

• Certified in Special Education (state requirements must be met)
• Previous experience in an elementary school environment preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and individualized instruction
• Strong collaboration skills for working with general education teachers, families, and support staff
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality instruction to elementary-aged students identified for special education
• Manage a caseload of around 25 students, designing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies to support diverse learners, adapting curriculum as needed
• Provide instructional support either as a Resource Teacher or in a Self-Contained classroom, depending on assignment
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions to meet student needs
• Work collaboratively with school staff and families to ensure comprehensive support for students
• Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for all learners
