Direct Support Professional (DSP) Part Time

Position Summary Responsible for providing direct support to People/Persons with Intellectual Disabilities in a group home setting. Part‑time staff must commit to working EVERY Thursday thru Sunday. Position responsibilities Provide support to each individual in the following ways (as needed): cooking/meal preparation, housekeeping, changing clothes, bathing, escorting individuals in the community, active treatment/assist with achieving specific goals, etc. Responsible for basic health, safety and supervision of People/Persons with Intellectual Disabilities. Implement Plans effectively to address individual needs. Interact, and communicate positively with People/Persons with Intellectual Disabilities and treat them with dignity and respect at all times. Work collaboratively as a team; display a positive, flexible, and cooperative attitude towards People/Persons with Intellectual Disabilities, coworkers and supervisors. Report or communicate all information pertinent to the continuity of care for People/Persons with Intellectual Disabilities to immediate supervisor. Effectively and legibly complete required documentation. Comply with all CMS and DDS regulations and policies and attend all CMS and DDS required meetings and training. Other duties as assigned. Essential skills and experience High School Diploma/GED Physical/Criminal Background Check CPR/First Aide 18 years of age or older Valid Driver License Completion of DC Required Phase Trainings/Orientation training. Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination Status Nonessential skills and experience Caretaking/Healthcare experience Experience working with People/Persons with Intellectual Disabilities.
