Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized acute care as a Travel Registered Nurse in the ICU, delivering high-quality patient management in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role involves supporting critically ill patients and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients' conditions to deliver timely interventions.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and perform invasive procedures such as intubation and central line insertion.
• Manage ventilator systems, titrate vasopressor drips, and oversee patient care for sepsis and arrhythmias.
• Document patient statuses and procedures accurately in the electronic medical record (Meditech).
• Adhere to hospital policies, including weekend and holiday scheduling, and flexibility to float to other units as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to develop and implement patient care plans.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with active state registration.
• Minimum of 1-year recent ICU experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Must possess BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
• Prefer candidates with cardiac, CRRT, or ventilator management experience.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work every third weekend and one major winter holiday as required.
