About the Role As an Android intern at Tinder, you will partner directly with senior members of the mobile team and be empowered to contribute solutions to the Tinder codebase. We are deeply invested in challenging norms, constantly improving architecture design, exploring emergent tech and ideas, and leveraging new technologies in interesting ways to deliver an app that is widely known the world over. Where you’ll work This is a hybrid role and requires in-office collaboration three days per week. The position will be located in Los Angeles, CA. What you'll do: Collaborate on the development, implementation and functionality of Tinder's newest features and platform architecture Build robust, lasting, and scalable products that serve millions of users Work on systems that handle billions of data events a day Leverage large scale multi-channel communications to keep users well-informed (push notifications, emails, in-app messaging, and more) Write unit and integration tests Participate in the annual Tindership Hackathon, presenting with your team to the entire Tinder team and panel of executives. What we're looking for: Aspiring Android developer who's excited to work on large scale challenges with cutting-edge technology Proficiency in coding with Kotlin or Java Foundational knowledge of basic Computer Science principles: data structures and algorithms.
