Overview Sentara Careplex is hiring a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for the Resource Pool. PRN/Flex schedule, rotating shifts. Role Patient Care Technicians are unlicensed staff who work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to implement delegated aspects of nursing care. Provide patient care, support the admissions and discharge process, and comply with patient safety practices under the direction of the professional nurse. Observe patients’ physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report any changes to the nursing staff. Qualifications High School Graduate or equivalent Completion of a recognized program such as Sentara Care Partner Certification Program, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT), US Navy Hospital Corps School, or Emergency Services (EMR, EMS, EMT, AEMT, Paramedic) Current student enrolled in a clinical program with at least one semester of RN, LPN, RT or PT, or current work experience as a PCT or Nursing Assistant within last three years AHA BLS certification within 90 days of hire One year of health care experience preferred Keywords Nursing Care Partner, NCP, CNA, Certified Nursing Assistant, PCT, Patient Care Tech #J-18808-Ljbffr Sentara Healthcare Inc
