Comprehensive care puts the patient and their family first; addressing all elements of care medical, emotional, and spiritual. Driven by evidence-based practice to provide up to date care and pushing the field of nursing forward. Unit uses a team nursing model approach to caring for our diverse patient population.Nursing skills gained on this unit:Care of the surgical patient post-operative to discharge.Care of CVAD (central veinous access device) and PICC linesWound vac and wound careFoley insertion and care of CBI (continuous bladder irrigation)Nasogastric tube insertion and maintenanceUnit Successes/Designations:Daisy nominations 2023Bee nominations 2023Urological resource for the facilityOur team!
