Traveling PipefitterJob Title: Traveling Pipefitter; $35/hr + $140 Per Diem project in Newport News, VA.We are seeking a highly skilled Pipefitter with extensive experience in marine, commercial nuclear, or petro/chemical industries. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to interpret ship piping drawings and have proficiency in fitting carbon steel, CRES, and copper nickel piping.Responsibilities:Read and interpret ship piping drawings.Fit carbon steel, CRES, and copper-nickel piping.End-prep piping by hand or using Portsmouth Machine.Install pipe hangers.Read a ruler using inches and tenths.Prep and fit up backing rings.Clean cut/break pipe with a grinder.Hand prep V bevels.Fabricate various details and assemblies from drawings.Bend pipe from templates and use a hand bender.Essential Skills:Five years or more of experience as a First Class Pipefitter in marine, commercial nuclear, or petro/chemical industries.Ability to read and interpret ship piping drawings.Experience with carbon steel, CRES, and copper-nickel piping.Proficient in using hand tools and Portsmouth Machine for end prepJob Type & Location:This is a contract position based out of Jackson, MS.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $35.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
