Inc. Provides care and support to individuals with varying abilities to help them integrate into their communities and lead meaningful lives. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm, Full-Time benefit eligible Hourly Pay rate: $18.00 / Hour Essential Functions: Provide direct support, interaction, and supervision of the supported persons, inclusive of all daily needs (meals, personal care, transportation, leisure activities, and community integration) Prepare and maintain a detailed weekly schedule of activities for each day of the week to achieve greater independence using person-centered planning and self-determination. Assist participants with job readiness skills and provide transportation and on-the-job coaching as needed. Plan and supervise the work of individuals, individually or in small groups, in the community or on site. Complete and maintain all state and agency required documentation accurately in accordance with stated guidelines and deadlines. Develop a vocational profile for each individual showing current strengths and weaknesses as related to general job skills and work habits. Maintain positive, professional working relationships through effective communication with individuals, staff, families, and community coordinators to collaborate and plan about progress towards personal goals. Perform related duties as assigned. Core Competencies: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to teach and communicate effectively with individuals, families, and community partners. Ability to create and maintain efficient working relationships with staff and community partners. Experience using computers and MS Office software. Qualifications/Certifications (Skills and Abilities): High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience in the field of Human Services is a plus but not required. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus and/or strong evidence of aptitudes to meet responsibilities and duties. Teaching or instructor experience is a plus but not required. Other Requirements: Must have and maintain a valid Maryland driver’s license with proof of good driving records. Must be able to successfully complete all required training within the allotted time. Must successfully pass a drug screening and criminal background check. Maintain 2 points or less on your Maryland driving record during your employment with LIFE Incorporated. Must be reliable and dependable.
