South Lyon Animal Clinic is excited to add a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our fun-loving, team-oriented practice where flexibility, collaboration and high-quality medicine go hand in hand. We are a multi-doctor, small animal/exotic hospital with a sister locations in Walled Lake and Farmington Hills. Our team is happy-go-lucky, supportive and always ready to help each other out. We believe in work-life balance, flexibility, and teamwork!
Responsibilities:
As a Licensed Veterinary Technician , you are an important part of our clinical team and your duties will include:
- Assisting veterinarians during patient exams, treatments, and surgeries.
- Administering medications, vaccinations, and therapeutic treatments.
- Performing diagnostic tests, including radiography, bloodwork, and urinalysis.
- Monitoring anesthesia and providing post-operative care.
- Conducting dental cleanings and using digital dental radiography.
- Educating clients on preventive care, treatment plans, and post-care instructions.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring a clean, organized clinic environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Licensed Veterinary Technician Required (LVT) and at least 1 year of experience as an LVT
- Skills: Strong diagnostic, technical, and communication abilities.
- Mindset: A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a passion for patient care.
- Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Schedule: Must be available for Saturdays as needed
