Satellite Mission Engr Sr

Position Overview Level3 Satellite Operations Controller with an active TS/SCIw/ Poly clearance. Location: Aurora, CO. The Work Conduct mission/program specific real‑time spacecraft/satellite flight operations during readiness, execution, and evaluation phases. Develop detailed plans and procedures to provide maximum mission support in areas such as orbit dynamics, satellite performance analysis, command and control of on‑orbit satellites. Provide technical direction for on‑orbit mission support, develop plans for critical vehicle malfunctions, recommend alternate operating techniques to maintain mission support. Perform failure analysis of the orbiting satellites via telemetry data. Utilize system software to accomplish all spacecraft control tasks and recommend improvements. Analyse and validate software performance. You will be expected to certify in multiple positions including Senior Operations Controller as part of your job expectations. These positions require successful completion of a certification program. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a science or technology related program such as Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a combination of degree and experience. Previous command and control experience. Active TS/SCIw/ Poly clearance. U.S. citizenship. Desired Skills Experience working with on‑orbit spacecraft or satellite flight operations. Integration of baseline promotions. Familiarity with at least one of the following: LINUX, MATLAB, JAVA, Python, C++, PERL, ORACLE/SQL, HTML, XML, or scripting. Web development experience. Security Clearance Statement This position requires a government security clearance. The candidate must be a U.S. citizen. Work Location Onsite full‑time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility in Aurora, CO. Work Schedules Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules. Standard schedule is Monday to Friday 40 hours a week. Pay and Benefits Annual base salary range varies by state: $89,300 - $157,550 (e.g., Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or WashingtonDC). Additional factors such as scope, responsibilities, education, training, key skills, market, and business considerations may influence the final offer.
