Physical Therapy Aide Specialist #Full Time The 61st Street Service Corporation, provides administrative and clinical support staff for ColumbiaDoctors . This position will support ColumbiaDoctors, one of the largest multi-specialty practices in the Northeast. ColumbiaDoctors’ practices comprise an experienced group of more than 2,800 physicians, surgeons, dentists, and nurses, offering more than 240 specialties and subspecialties. Job Responsibilities: Assisting Physical Therapists in providing patient care Answering clinic phone and voicemails Schedules initial evaluations and follow-up appointments Receives authorizations from insurance carriers and links to appointment for appropriate payment Obtains authorization for physical therapy visits through all insurance carriers; requests date extensions for prior authorizations if needed Verification of all procedure codes submitted by therapists Obtain co-signatures from referring physicians for patients insured through Medicare Patient scheduling for new evaluations and follow-ups Scheduling and tracking authorization for Morgan Stanley Westchester PT location Processing and assisting in tracking authorizations and pre-certifications Communicating with insurance companies via fax/phone to request services Maintaining equipment and daily cleaning Monitoring supply inventory and placing supply and equipment purchase orders Preparing, distributing and instructing in HEPs Assisting front desk as needed Job Requirements: High School Diploma required, college degree preferred Minimum one year experience preferred working in a physician practice Computer savvy, with keyboard knowledge of institutional used software packages Ability to work with patients and make them feel comfortable Ability to independently compose correspondence Ability to use judgement to accomplish goals Ability to perform a variety of complex tasks Neat, professional appearance Strong written and verbal communication skills Hourly Rate Ranges: $23.08 - $33.39 Note: Our salary offers will fall within these ranges based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, skill set, training and education. 61st Street Service Corporation At 61 st Street Service Corporation we are committed to providing our client with excellent customer service while maintaining a productive environment for all employees.
