Job Title: Trimmer

Job Description

The Trimmer uses hand routers, trimmers, drills, and fixtures to trim and assemble roto-molded slides, ensuring high-quality finished products ready for shipment. This role supports the production team by accurately packing finished slides, tracking daily output and quality metrics, and contributing ideas to improve production processes, time management, and work habits.

Responsibilities

• Use hand routers, trimmers, drills, and fixtures to trim and assemble roto-molded slides according to specifications.
• Pack finished slides into boxes safely and securely in preparation for shipping to customers.
• Track daily production output, product quality, and scrapped parts with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Communicate production results, quality issues, and scrap information to Roto Technicians on a daily basis.
• Offer practical recommendations to improve production processes, time management, and quality work habits.
• Handle and operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently throughout the shift.
• Perform heavy lifting as needed to move materials, parts, and finished products.
• Use a tape measure and other basic measuring tools to verify dimensions and ensure product accuracy.
• Apply mechanical aptitude and a mechanically inclined mindset to troubleshoot minor issues and support smooth production flow.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience using hand tools and power tools in a production or similar environment.
• Ability to use hand routers, trimmers, drills, and fixtures to trim and assemble molded parts.
• Mechanical aptitude and a mechanically inclined approach to working with equipment and tools.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of daily duties.
• Experience working in a production environment with attention to output and quality.
• Ability to accurately use a tape measure and other basic measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail when tracking production output, product quality, and scrapped parts.
• Effective communication skills to report daily production and quality information to technicians.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, TN.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Portland,TN.
