Location 14898 Koehn Road,Capac, MI, 48014,United States Employee Type Full-Time Position Title Quality Control Inspector Department Quality Division AES Job Type Full time Purpose ***This position is for second shift*** TheQCInspectoristheprimaryQAinterfacesupportingmanufacturingbyinspectingproducts and processes for conformity to specifications.The QC inspector will followthroughonpreventativeandcorrectiveactionplansasdirectedbytheQualityManager Job Summary The QC Inspector ensure quality of manufactured goods by performing inspections ofpurchasedparts,subassembliesorfinishedgoodsaccordingtowelldefinedcriteriausingstandardphysical, mechanical and/or electrical measurements. The Inspector with be responsible for performing various verifications including- quickvisual inspections, perform complex tests using high precision instruments, gages andequipment,testmeasureandanalyzeproducts&performsampletesting.Theinspectorwould have to accurately document results of performed inspections as per the QualityManagementSystem. Job Responsibilities Performsincoming,in-process,finalinspections,productandprocessaudits Performs and documents accurate measurements and visual inspections as perControlPlan criteria Discussinspectionresultswiththoseresponsibleforproducts,andrecommendnecessarycorrectiveactions Evaluatesandreports waste/scrap Ensuresproductisproducedtoqualitystandardsandworksforconformancetospecification Determinesacceptability,identifiesandrecommendsdispositionofdefectiveitems in accordance with established procedures; initiate Non-ConformanceReports as required AssistsinperformingcapabilitystudiesandMeasurementsystemanalysis Carriesoutwrittenandverbalinstructionstosupportqualityprocesses CollaborateswithShiftLeadersandQualityEngineerstoresolvequalityconcerns. Ensuresthatqualitysystemstandardsaremaintained maintainingrequiredlogs,containmentreports Worksindependentlyoraspartofateam,acceptingreassignmentofdutiesasmay benecessary. Flexibilitytochangetheshiftifrequired Qualifications Minimumsecondaryschooldiploma 2 years working experience in quality control, preferable from plastic processingindustry Communitycollegeeducationinthequalityfieldispreferred ASQcertifiedQualityInspector(CQI)wouldbeanasset. Basicunderstandingofstatisticalprocesscontrol Detailoriented,havetheabilitytomaintainaccuraterecordsincludingtransferringdatato electronic files. Goodorganizationalandcommunicationskills Stronganalyticalandcriticalthinkingskills.
