Job Description:

Driver Pay and Benefits

• Average Weekly Pay: $1,386 ($72,072/year)
  • If running a 6th day average weekly pay is $1,584
• Starting Mileage Pay: $0.66 per mile
• Detention Pay: $7.25 per 15 minutes after 2 hours
• Breakdown Pay: $29/hour after 2 hours
• Layover Pay: $150 per layover

Schedule and Home Time

• Routes: Over-the-road (OTR) 2 nights per week
• Thursday-Monday nights
• Weekend Work: Required depending on schedule
• Home Time: Typically home 2 nights per week
• Miles per Week: Approx. 2,118
  • If running a 6th day, miles will average 2,400 per week
• Routes will operate as normal during most holiday weeks

Scheduling Options

• Opportunity to run a 6th day for additional miles
• Occasional fill-in on the snack fleet or other routes when needed

Route and Freight Details

• Delivery Area: Kentucky and Tennessee
• Route Description: Shuttle runs between customer plants/DCs in the London, KY and Crossville, TN
• Freight Type: Snack foods / raw baking materials
• Freight Handling: No-touch; drop and hook
• Equipment: Sleeper truck with 53 ft dry van

• Drivers must live within a 100-mile radius
• Must have 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years
• Drivers must have Class A CDL
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• No convictions for reckless driving within the past 5 years
• No convictions for DUI within the past 5 years
• No suspensions or revocations within the last 5 years
• No serious violations within the previous 12 months (15 mph or greater, following too closely, improper passing, traffic offense committed in a CMV in connection with fatality)
• No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years
• No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years

Essential functions:

• Open/Close Trailer Doors - force requirement: 46 lbs
• Count freight
• Complete fuel tickets
• Obtain sales leads
• Hook/Unhook trailer - force requirement: 90 lbs (Class A Only)
• Perform pre-trip inspections
• Drive
• Regular predictable attendance
• Enter/Exit a Commercial Motor Vehicle
• Enter/Exit the rear of a trailer from ground level
