About The Role TheMeeting & Events Planner leads successful execution of events as theprimary point of contactfor clients and primary communicator of event details to the meeting and events operationsteam. Inthis role, you will be responsible for guiding event clients through the fullscope of the planningprocess, including furniture and equipment configurations, audio-visualrequirements, food & beverage service, transportation, and other eventattendee services. TheMeeting & Events Planner manages the master events calendar, confirms eventrequirements, and ensures operations stakeholders fully understand requirements throughmanagement of communication channels, briefing, and planning meetings. Thisrole is located at our client’s site in Bellevue along with offices in Redmondand Seattle, WA. What You Will Do Serve as the primary point of contact for highprofile and/or large engagements. Accountable to develop and communicateend-to-end complex event plans to ensure flawless execution of meetings andevents. Exercises sound judgement to ensure that eventsare delivered to exceed client expectations, while maintaining adherence toguidelines and processes and leveraging meeting industry best practices andexperience. Manage complex master meeting and eventscalendar for medium to large sized event space. Communicates events schedules with all requiredpartners and service providers Responsible for all communications, planningmeetings with event staff, and proactively planning logistics across the mastercalendar. Respond to event requests through the InternalEvent Tool within the designated SLA, making sure that metrics are met. Responsible for pre-event planning, greetingevent hosts upon arrival, introducing service delivery teams to client,answering questions, ensure understanding of details of event between host andservice delivery team and post event reporting and reconciliation. This includes but is not limited to:problem-solving issues that arise, directing event set-up, communicating withstaff, organizing vendors, supporting attendee/speaker requests, andcommunicating/collaborating with the tear-down team. Manage each event as a project from planningthrough execution. Responsible for ensuring parties involved in supporting theevent are asked for input at the right time in the event plan and receive allrelevant communication. This includes creating and managing detailed event planningtimelines, ensuring deadlines are met on time and with high quality, creative troubleshootingissues, ensuring effective handoff to service delivery team, monitoring theprogress and schedule of events and tasks, communicating with stakeholders,management, and other relevant parties. Responsible for building and maintaining workrelationships with internal and external clients in a timely and professionalmanner. Participates and/or leads planning calls,representing the site and ensuring all event aspects are in accordance withbuilding safety and security regulations. Coordinate with internal partners as well aswith outside vendors and event professionals to manage client expectations ontime and with high quality. Creates and distributes banquet event orders tovendors and internal and external stakeholders defining event specifics includinga timeline and floorplans for set-up, event flow, and event strike details. Key contact for the event in ensuring seamlessevent delivery by the Meeting & Events operations team. Check in with the team and client on the day ofthe event to ensure thorough communication; responsible for on-site logisticsincluding managing vendors ensuring a certificate of insurance is on file, loadin and set up is on time and in adherence to building/site policies, and is apoint of escalation should an issue arise. Capture post-event reporting and reconciliationand suggests recommendations for continuous improvement and cost/processefficiencies. Support and provide informal guidance to juniormembers of the team. May support with budget creation for events andaccountable for budget adherence and related activities such as requesting andreviewing invoices in a timely manner. Perform other duties as assigned. What You Will Need Applicants must be currently authorized to workin the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing,Public Relations, Communications or related discipline from a 4-year college oruniversity, and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and/or training; orequivalent combination of education and experience (equivalent work experience= 2 years experience for every year of higher level education). Experience in corporate or conference centermanagement preferred. Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) preferred. Ability to comprehend and interpretinstructions, short correspondence, and customer requests and ask clarifyingquestions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries orcomplaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information toan internal department and/or large groups of employees. Comfortable meeting and engaging with newpeople. Warm and engaging demeanor. Ability to assess circumstances, empathize andoffer help. Have a positive attitude and a strong sense ofurgency in resolving any issues that may arise. Utilize a high level of attention to detail aswell as strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to push/pull/carry more than25lbs.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Meeting and Events Planner position is $75,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Meeting and Events Planner position is $80,168 annually. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
