POSITION TITLE: CLINICIAN II/III

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a FLSA non-exempt position. The incumbent assists in fulfilling the duties involved with the provision of the continuum of crisis services within the Center. In fulfilling position duties, the incumbent at times may find themself the only staff member on site, therefore a high level of professionalism and excellent attendance is necessary. The incumbent reports to the Director of Crisis Services and duties require proceeding alone under standard practices with referral of questionable situations to the supervisor or other staff as identified. Standard practices allow for the independent accomplishment of recurring tasks and use of own initiative for prioritizing the work schedule. In carrying out position duties, they perform in accordance with applicable professional ethics and established Region Ten policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:


CLINCIAN II
• Master's degree and license eligible according the DHP definition:
• Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, substance abuse, or marriage and family therapy from an accredited college or university:
• Education verified by an official transcript with conferral date
• Evidence you have had an intern or practicum of at least 500 hours of experience with persons who have a mental illness. (Verification of Internship/Practicum for QMHP form)
• Is under the direct personal supervision of a person licensed under Virginia law, who is working towards licensure, and who is in compliance with the appropriate Virginia licensing board may perform the functions of the LMHP for purposes of Medicaid
reimbursement. The Board of Health Professions refers to masters prepared individuals in Counseling and Psychology as "Resident". The Board of Health Professions refers to masters prepared individuals in social work as "Supervisee". For purposes of Medicaid
reimbursement, these persons shall use LMHP-E after their signatures to indicate this status. Additionally, a person who can register within six months of hire. In this
case, a newly hired clinician's continued employment is contingent on meeting the definition above within 6 months of hire.


CLINICIAN III
• Licensed clinicians as one of the following:
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Clinical Psychologists
EDUCATION:
• A MASTER'S DEGREE IN A HUMAN SERVICES FIELD (REQUIRED)

EXPERIENCE:
• Experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs for at least two years is preferred.
• Computer knowledge required in Word and Excel.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
• Incumbent must complete DBHDS training to become a Certified PreScreener, and will maintain this credential.
• Residency for clinical license (such as LCSW, LPC, or LSATP) or licensure preferred.
• The incumbent in this position must possess QMHP status or qualify for QMHP-T status in the Commonwealth of Virginia (required).
• A valid Virginia Driver's license as issued by the Division of Motor Vehicles are required.
• A certificate of valid personal automobile insurance must be provided.

HOURLY SALARY RANGE:

GRADE 10- CLINICIAN II: $25.00 - $34.68 per hour
GRADE 11- CLINICIAN III: $27.40 - 38.15 per hour
