The ideal person for this role will have experience and knowledge in the health insurance field, including areas such as Medicare Advantage and Part D, the Affordable Care Act, health economics, or the pharmaceutical market space. Responsibilities of actuarial analysts also include reviewing the work of peers, assisting with research and product development, and contributing to an environment of knowledge and collaboration.Within a project team, consultants and analysts coordinate their efforts to deliver client reports and deliverables. Consultants are responsible for building relationships with clients, directing projects, and presenting results. They also work directly with analysts reviewing work, answering questions, and developing client correspondence.Analysts are responsible for the majority of the technical work, which may include analyzing data, completing actuarial calculations, developing, and utilizing actuarial models, and implementing software solutions.What We Are Looking ForProfessional QualificationsBachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field2-4 actuarial exams2-3 years of experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Power Point)SQL, SAS, VBA, R, Python, or other coding languages is advantageousIndividual(s) must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for immigration support or sponsorship from Milliman now or in the future. The TeamMilliman’s Tampa Health Practice serves a wide variety of organizations, including insurance companies, health plans, healthcare providers, and employers. The staff consists of actuarial professionals, a Pharm D, administrative, and other non-actuarial staff. By joining Milliman, you will be working with some of the most experienced and capable people in the industry.LocationCandidates hired into this role will be required to work in-person in the Milliman office in Tampa, Florida on a weekly basis, but full-time remote work arrangements will be considered. The expected application deadline for this job is July 20, 2026.CompensationThe overall range for this role is $67,600 - $136,160. For candidates residing in:Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia the range is $77,740 - $136,160.All other locations the range is $67,600 - $118,400.A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc. Benefits We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees’ health, financial security, and well-being.
