Travel: Occasional business travel may be required. Travel frequency will depend on business needs, account responsibilities, and the leadership level of the position. 

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager – Tire Chain Store to develop and grow business with tire chain store accounts.

This is a senior-level sales position for someone who understands the tire industry, retail operations, inventory planning, warehousing, and account development. The person in this role will be expected to help build the program from the ground up, develop strong customer relationships, and coordinate internally to support long-term account growth.

Key Responsibilities 

• Develop and manage relationships with tire chain store accounts 
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the tire retail market 
• Build and execute account development strategies 
• Establish relationships with key decision-makers, buyers, and retail leadership 
• Work with customers on product selection, pricing, inventory needs, and forecasting 
• Coordinate with internal teams regarding inventory planning, warehousing, order fulfillment, and supply needs 
• Help develop processes and structure for supporting tire chain store accounts 
• Monitor sales performance, account activity, and customer needs 
• Support pricing strategy and account profitability 
• Identify opportunities to expand product placement and increase sales volume 
• Provide market feedback and customer insights to leadership 
• Support long-term planning for retail account growth

Requirements:

• Significant experience in the tire industry or a closely related automotive distribution environment 
• Experience working with tire retailers, dealer groups, or multi-location retail accounts 
• Strong B2B sales and account management experience 
• Understanding of warehousing, inventory planning, and distribution operations 
• Experience developing new customer accounts and growing existing business 
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills 
• Ability to work across Sales, Operations, Purchasing, and Supply Chain functions 
• Strong understanding of pricing, margins, and account profitability 
• Ability to work independently and build processes from the ground up

Preferred Qualifications 

• Previous experience managing national or regional tire chain accounts 
• Experience launching or developing new retail programs 
• Experience with demand forecasting and inventory strategy 
• Previous sales leadership or senior account management experience 
• Existing relationships within the tire retail industry
