Job Summary: The Store Manager is accountable to the District Manager and is responsible for directing, developing and managing store staff to protect company assets, maintain store conditions and presentation, maximize sales and gross profits, customer and team member relations through proper controls such as sanitation, merchandising, payroll, required record keeping and compliance with company, state and federal policies, rules, procedures, regulations and laws. Two-plus years related management experience. Associate Degree preferred or equivalent of education and experience. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training associates; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Maintains great store conditions per company standard every day, including compliance with company and governmental sanitation and safety standards. Maximizes store sales. Develops and maintains a team concept to improve associate morale, communication, community involvement and ultimately working conditions. Maximizes store profits. Achieves or surpasses productivity and payroll goals in each department. Controls and executes shrink standards while ensuring proper inventory levels and control. Masters the CGO function.
