The RN prevents illness and injury and alleviates suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response. The RN advocates for the care of individuals and families. The RN utilizes a working knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications. The RN shares responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization. The RN complies with all nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements. The RN actively participates in improvement initiatives and supports the Nursing Shared Governance Model. The RN engages in professional development and completes all mandatory education requirements. The RN integrates nursing research and current evidence into practice. The RN provides a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. The RN follows all organizational values and performs other duties as assigned.
