This role involves working in a bustling healthcare environment, providing both routine and complex care, and operating independently to manage various clinical situations effectively.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - Labor and Delivery

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments and monitor for side-effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers

Requirements of the RN - Labor and Delivery

• RN License in the state of TX or compact
• BLS certification (AHA only)
• ACLS certification (AHA only)
• Current certifications in NRP, STABLE, and one of AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
