Your Day-to-Day Tasks will be:

• Perform various welding processes (such as MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core) to permanently join components to exact industry standards.
• Interpret technical drawings, CAD layouts, and blueprints to determine material measurements and exact product specifications.
• Weld components in vertical, horizontal, overhead positions.
• Cut, shape, bend, and form raw materials (steel, aluminum, etc.) using machinery like shears, ironworkers, saws, and plasma cutters.
• Align, clamp, and tack-assemble metal parts together to ensure they are plumb, level, and square prior to welding.
• Grind, polish, and inspect welds for structural integrity, dimensional accuracy, and defects.

This Job Requires:

Strong shop math capabilities to accurately calculate angles, dimensions, and material tolerances.

Deep understanding of metallurgy, weld symbols, and operation of heavy fabrication shop machinery.

Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs+), and work in varied environments.

Strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols, including wearing protective gear, safe operation of lift trucks, and handling overhead cranes.

Teamwork and cooperative mindset.
