- Site Preparation and Cleanup: Prepare construction sites by removing debris, trash, and potential hazards before and after construction.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport building materials, tools, and equipment to and from designated areas on the job site.
- Equipment Operation: Operate hand and power tools, such as jackhammers, tampers, saws, and drills, as well as heavy machinery like skid steers or forklifts, if certified.
- Trades Assistance: Provide support to skilled craftworkers, including carpenters, masons, and electricians, with various tasks as needed.
- Concrete Work: Assist with concrete tasks, including digging, backfilling, mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete surfaces.
- Scaffolding and Bracing: Assemble and dismantle temporary structures like scaffolding and bracing.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Experience: Proven experience of a minimum of 5 years in a construction laborer role, including familiarity with various construction processes.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using hand and power tools and a strong understanding of different construction materials.
- Physical Ability: Must be in good physical condition, with the ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including heavy lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
- Teamwork and Communication: A team-oriented mindset with excellent verbal communication skills.
- Safety Orientation: A history of following safety principles and a strong understanding of OSHA standards.
- Certifications (A plus): Relevant certifications, such as OSHA 10 or 30, are highly desirable.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Salary: $20+/hr. depending on experience
