Dry Mechanical Project Manager / Superintendent – Semiconductor

Location: Lafayette / West Lafayette, IN
Project Duration: Long-term project through October 2028
Schedule: Onsite, Monday–Friday | Approximately 45–50 hours/week

We are seeking an experienced Dry Mechanical Project Manager / Superintendent to support a major semiconductor manufacturing construction project in the Lafayette, Indiana area.

This position will lead the field execution and coordination of dry mechanical systems supporting a semiconductor fab , including cleanroom HVAC, subfab mechanical systems, ductwork, exhaust, makeup air, chilled and hot water systems, hydronic piping, and associated mechanical infrastructure.

Candidates with direct semiconductor fab, cleanroom, advanced manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or other highly technical mechanical construction experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead construction and installation of dry mechanical systems across cleanroom, subfab, process-support, and utility areas.
• Oversee AHUs, MAUs, RTUs, ductwork, hydronic systems, chilled/hot water, and general and specialty exhaust systems.
• Coordinate mechanical contractors, engineering teams, field supervision, commissioning, and other construction disciplines.
• Review mechanical drawings, P&IDs, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and construction documentation.
• Participate in BIM/3D model, clash detection, constructability, and installation coordination reviews .
• Coordinate mechanical routing, equipment placement, supports, access requirements, and system interfaces.
• Identify and resolve field installation, constructability, sequencing, and multidisciplinary coordination issues.
• Monitor mechanical construction progress and drive field execution to meet project schedule requirements.
• Perform system walkdowns, identify punch-list items, and verify readiness for mechanical completion.
• Coordinate and support TAB, system startup, commissioning, and turnover .
• Maintain project safety, quality, documentation, and installation standards.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical construction experience on semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, pharmaceutical, mission-critical, or large industrial projects.
• Strong experience managing or supervising large mechanical construction scopes .
• Experience with commercial/industrial HVAC, ductwork, hydronic piping, chilled water, exhaust, and makeup air systems.
• Strong understanding of mechanical construction drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and BIM models.
• Experience coordinating mechanical subcontractors and multiple construction disciplines.
• Strong field knowledge with the ability to identify and resolve constructability and installation issues.
• Experience supporting mechanical completion, system walkdowns, startup, commissioning, or turnover.
• Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced, highly coordinated construction environment.

Highly Preferred

• Direct semiconductor fab construction experience.
• Cleanroom and subfab mechanical construction experience.
• Semiconductor HVAC, MAU, specialty exhaust, and cleanroom airflow experience.
• Experience with TAB and commissioning of large mechanical systems.
• Navisworks, Bluebeam, or similar construction/BIM platform experience.
• Previous experience as a Mechanical Project Manager, Mechanical Superintendent, Mechanical Construction Manager, or Mechanical Area Manager.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent field experience will be considered.

Travel & Relocation

This is a long-term onsite project scheduled through October 2028 .
