Every member of our team plays a vital role in ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and an exceptional surgical experience.Healthcare Materials Manager at Florida Cardiovascular Partners Surgical CenterThe Healthcare Materials Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement, inventory management, storage, distribution, and utilization of medical supplies, equipment, and materials throughout the surgical center. This role works closely with clinical staff, physicians, vendors, and leadership to ensure the availability of supplies while maintaining cost-effective inventory practices and supporting quality patient care.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferredMinimum of 3 years of materials management, purchasing, inventory control, or supply chain experience in a healthcare setting requiredAmbulatory Surgery Center, hospital, or cardiovascular services experience preferredKnowledge of medical and surgical supplies, equipment, and inventory management systemsExperience with purchasing systems, inventory software, and electronic record systemsStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and vendor management abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environmentResponsibilitiesManage the procurement, receipt, storage, and distribution of medical supplies and equipmentMaintain appropriate inventory levels to support daily operations and surgical case requirementsMonitor inventory utilization and implement processes to reduce waste and control costsCoordinate purchasing activities and maintain effective relationships with vendors and suppliersEnsure timely ordering and replenishment of supplies while avoiding stock shortages and overstock situationsVerify accuracy of shipments and resolve discrepancies with vendors as neededConduct routine inventory counts and assist with annual physical inventoriesMonitor product expiration dates and ensure proper stock rotationCollaborate with clinical leadership and physicians regarding product selection, standardization, and utilizationMaintain compliance with regulatory requirements, infection prevention standards, and organizational policiesTrack supply expenses and assist leadership with budgeting and cost containment initiativesEnsure all supplies and equipment are stored safely and organized appropriatelySupport new product evaluations and implementation of supply chain best practicesPrepare reports related to inventory, purchasing, and supply utilization as requestedPerform other duties as assigned in support of surgical center operationsWhat We OfferAs an organization, one way we care for our communities and each other is by providing a comprehensive benefits package that includes the following, subject to employment status:Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverageLife and AD&D coverageAvailability of short- and long-term disabilityFlexible financial benefits including FSAs and HSAs401(k) and access to retirement planningPaid holidays and vacationWho We AreAt USPI, we create relationships that create better care.
