Benefits Specialist This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced HR environment, has strong analytical skills, and enjoys providing exceptional employee support. This role is fully onsite, Monday-Friday. Responsibilities Administer all employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA/HSA, 401(k), and voluntary benefits. Support benefits administration for a workforce of several thousand employees across multiple locations. Manage new hire enrollments, qualifying life events, open enrollment, and benefit terminations. Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit questions, providing timely and accurate guidance. Partner with benefit vendors, insurance carriers, and internal HR teams to resolve eligibility and claims issues. Audit benefit data to ensure accuracy and compliance within the HRIS system. Process and reconcile benefit invoices while assisting with vendor billing discrepancies. Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, including ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and ERISA. Assist with annual open enrollment planning, employee communications, and educational materials. Analyze benefit trends and recommend process improvements to enhance employee experience and operational efficiency. Maintain confidential employee information with the highest level of professionalism. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of benefits administration experience supporting comprehensive employee benefit programs. Experience administering benefits for large employee populations (several thousand employees preferred). Strong knowledge of ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, FMLA, and other benefits-related regulations. Experience working with HRIS systems and benefits administration platforms. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze and reconcile data. Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
