Cost Accountant

We're seeking a collaborative Cost Accountant to join a growing manufacturer's Finance team. This role serves as a key financial partner to manufacturing and operations, driving product costing, capital investment analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives that improve plant performance and profitability. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain standard product costs, analyzing material, labor, overhead, and manufacturing variances Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Shipping to evaluate capital investment opportunities, including ROI, payback, and cost savings projections Build financial metrics and dashboards to track plant performance, productivity initiatives, and manufacturing KPIs Support monthly financial close, inventory accounting, and manufacturing-related reconciliations Assist with select accounts payable functions, ensuring manufacturing and capital expenditures are accurately coded and approved Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, or financial analysis, within a manufacturing environment Experience developing standard costs and analyzing manufacturing variances; ERP experience preferred Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookups, and financial modeling Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial business partners #J-18808-Ljbffr FPC Peachtree
