Medical Technologist ILabcorp is seeking a Medical Technologist I to join our Core Automated Testing Department in Indianapolis, IN.Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 11am-7:30pmJob ResponsibilitiesDetermine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteriaPerform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating ProceduresMonitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionalityDemonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solvingPrepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controlsReport accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient carePerform and document preventative maintenance and quality control proceduresIdentify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessaryAssist with processing of specimens when neededMaintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipmentMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical TechnologyOne year or more of clinical laboratory testing experiencePreferred QualificationsSix months or more of core automated testing experienceSix months or more of core lab experienceASCP or AMT certificationAdditional Job StandardsAbility to work independently and within a team environmentProficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systemsHigh level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skillsFlexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs***Sign-on Bonus $7,500*** Internal Employees Not Eligible for Sign-on BonusBenefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
