About This Role The Enterostomal Wound Care RN serves as a clinical resource for nursing staff in the development and implementation of care for patients with ostomies, draining wounds, pressure ulcers, and incontinence. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who are passionate about patient education and improving skin integrity. Highlights Location: Perth Amboy, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Schedule: Part-time, Day shift What You'll Do Serve as primary patient educator for patients undergoing ostomy surgery. Assess patients and significant others pre/post operatively to promote adaptations. Educate patients and families regarding ostomy care for rehabilitation. Provide input into discharge plans and referrals based on patient assessment. Responsible for pre‑operative marking of stoma site. Measure effectiveness of nursing care plans and recommend adjustments. Make frequent rounds on nursing units and provide consultation as needed. Develop care plans to prevent pressure ulcers in high‑risk patients. Evaluate ostomy and skin care products and supplies continuously. Participate in research programs related to ET nursing practice. Requirements Education B.S. in Nursing required. Graduate of an approved enterostomal nurse program. Experience 5 years in medical-surgical nursing required. Licenses & Certifications Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required. Current board certification in ET nursing or within one year of hire date. #J-18808-Ljbffr
